In the city of Atlanta, Neighborhood Planning Units (we are NPU “B”) are the official avenue for residents to express concerns and provide input in developing plans to address the needs of each neighborhood, as well as to receive updates from City government. Our neighborhood association president has been vocal and involved with all changes that make changes in or around our neighborhood -working with individual land owners or builders or the city to find ways to make planned projects go smoother, impact neighbors less, and keep in the spirit of the neighborhood’s existing architecture and usages of space. Definitely contact the association if you know of development plans that are coming together for land that is within or adjacent to the neighborhood so we can get everyone involved quicker and continue to come out with great outcomes.
